ALPA Endorses TWU for JetBlue Inflight Crewmembers

The Transport Workers Union of America, AFL-CIO (TWU) is pleased to announce the support of your JetBlue pilots to our unionizing campaign. The JetBlue Master Executive Council of the Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), issued a public display of support yesterday afternoon. The full text of their statement is included below:

The MEC wants you to know that we fully support the right of our JetBlue Flight Attendants to organize under the Transport Workers Union of America, AFL-CIO. Union representation will allow them to better their lives and those of their families. Our Flight Attendants are attempting to organize to gain a real voice in their workplace. The TWU has filed a representation application with the National Mediation Board. We support the efforts of the Flight Attendants to gain the benefits of union representation to further their safety, security and professionalism, all of which we believe will contribute to the success of JetBlue. We wish them the best of luck on the close of election on April 17, 2018.

ALPA has a long history of commitment to aviation safety, and their support of the JetBlue Inflight Crewmembers forming their own Union continues that proud tradition. We would like to thank the JetBlue MEC and the all the pilots at JetBlue for their support.
